New frontiers in Tinnitus, Hearing Loss and Hyperacusis by OTLOJ

Dear Readers,

Advances and future perspectives in basic and clinical research in the field of tinnitus, hearing loss, and hyperacusis are among the most interesting and fascinating aspects of current otorhinolaryngological sciences. These are widely spread conditions for which research has played, plays, and will play a vital role in prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.

Many advances have been made to date, leading to a better understanding of many pathophysiological mechanisms that underlie these conditions aiming at new diagnostic and therapeutic frontiers to further increase our knowledge in the field.

This special edition of the Otolaryngology Open Journal has been proposed to put focus on the recent advances in the field of tinnitus, hearing loss, and hyperacusis, welcoming original works on basic and clinical research, as well as case reports, reviews, short communications, and commentaries.
