Author Guidelines
The Author Guidelines for the Journal of Veterinary Medicine are designed to assist authors in preparing and submitting their manuscripts for consideration. This journal welcomes original research articles, reviews, case studies, and clinical reports that contribute to the advancement of veterinary science and practice. Authors are encouraged to present their findings in a clear, concise, and scientifically rigorous manner, adhering to the journal's formatting requirements, which include a structured format with distinct sections: Title, Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.
The abstract should provide a succinct overview of the study, summarizing the objectives, methods, key findings, and conclusions, and should be limited to 250 words. Authors must include relevant keywords to enhance the discoverability of their work. The introduction should contextualize the research within the existing literature, outlining the significance of the study and its potential impact on veterinary medicine. The Materials and Methods section must detail the study design, animal subjects, data collection procedures, and statistical analyses employed, ensuring that the research can be replicated by others.
Results should be presented clearly and logically, supported by well-organized tables and figures that are appropriately labeled and referenced in the text. The discussion should interpret the findings in relation to previous research, addressing limitations and suggesting directions for future studies. Authors are responsible for ensuring that their work is original and free from plagiarism, and all references must be cited accurately in accordance with the journal's preferred citation style.
Ethical considerations are paramount in veterinary research; therefore, authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest and ensure compliance with ethical standards, particularly when involving animal subjects. Approval from relevant ethics committees or institutional review boards should be documented where applicable. Upon submission, authors will receive an acknowledgment and can track the status of their manuscript through the journal's submission system. The journal employs a rigorous peer-review process, and authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts based on feedback from reviewers. Once accepted, authors will transfer copyright to the journal, and their work will be published as open access, ensuring broad accessibility and contributing to the ongoing discourse in veterinary medicine.
