On December 20, 2021, a bright Monday morning, Italian Professor Michele Baccarani passed away at the age of 79.
A hematologist by profession was born to an otolaryngologist in Bologna on August 16, 1942.
He was officially appointed as our board member for the journal “Clinical Trials and Practice” on 9th January, 2016.
It is impossible to adequately capture Prof. Baccarani’s contribution to clinical hematology in words.
His demise came as a shock to the team and we are deeply saddened by this loss.
It was an honor to work with him.
