Biography

Dr. Dev, has completed PhD in Psychology, Masters in Applied Psychology. Working as Assistant Professor of Psychology with Abu Dhabi University in UAE. Additionally in charge as Course Co-ordinator of Psychology for two campus of the University in Abu Dhabi & Alain. Dr. Smitha has more than 12 years of teaching experience in the field of Psychology across GCC, and is also a Psychologist. Prior to joining ADU, she worked in Dubai & Muscat teaching Psychology & worked as Psychologist with a Hospital in Muscat. She is also a recipient of Best Faculty Researcher Award from Abu Dhabi University for the period 2014-2015.
Prior to her assignment in Gulf, she worked as Research Analyst back in India with a leading Medical Group. She has expertise in areas such as developing intervention programs for learning disabled children, Psychometric testing and Counseling. Her areas of competence include: Teaching, Research, Diagnosis and treatment of Learning Disability, Psychometric Testing and Counseling.

Research Interest

Her research interests include: Learning Disabilities, Emotional Intelligence, Special Education, Student issues, Faculty perception towards Learning Disabled Students, Self Esteem and Motivation.
