Dr. Kumar is MSc and PhD in Audiology from All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH) Manasagangothri, Mysore, Karnataka, India. He is currently working as a Reader in Audiology in Department of Audiology at AIISH, Mysore. He is a CBCS coordinator for postgraduate program in Department of Audiology. He involved in teaching postgraduate, graduate, and diploma students in the field of Audiology as well as speech and hearing. His research interest mainly focuses on individuals with hearing impairment, children with auditory processing disorders using both electrophysiological and psychoacoustic measures. He also involved clinical activities where he supervises graduate and postgraduate students in assessment and management of individuals with hearing impairment.
His research interest includes: Dealing with assessment of children with hearing impairment, selection of amplification devices for children with communication disorders, children with central auditory processing disorders, vestibular disorders, tinnitus assessment, and differential diagnosis of cochlear and retro-cochlear pathology using behavioral and electrophysiological measures.
