Biography

Dr. Salvi is a Medical Doctor, specialized in Internal Medicine and Cardiology. He completed PhD in Life Sciences and Health at Henry Poincaré University of Nancy (France). He worked as Associate Professor in Internal Medicine, Geriatrics and Biology of Aging at University of Nancy (France) from 2007 to 2010. At present is a Researcher at the Istituto Auxologico Italiano and Adjunct Professor in Cardiology, University of Milano-Bicocca, Milan, Italy.

Research Interest

His principal research interests includes: Mechanisms that control blood pressure and vascular haemodynamics, non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostics, prevention of cardiovascular disease and early assessment of cardiovascular organ damage.

He has published widely on mechanical factors that affect the structure and function of large arteries and on the relationship between arterial stiffness and blood pressure.
