Dr. Jones is a well-reputed Anesthesiologist in private practice for over a decade and has now accepted a position at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology where he is actively developing a cutting-edge Acute Pain Service and hopes to initiate a fellowship in Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain in the coming years. Dr. Jones attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee and received a BS in Zoology as well as a MA in Philosophy with a concentration in Medical Ethics. Dr. Jones completed medical school at the University Of Tennessee Health Sciences Center in Memphis, Tennessee then finished his training with an Internship in Internal Medicine and Residency in Anesthesiology. Dr. Jones was elected Chief Resident in his final year of residency. Dr. Jones has been heavily involved as a speaker and consultant for numerous industry-leading companies in Regional Anesthesia. He is a strong advocate for improving patient care by optimizing acute post-surgical pain control and is founder of CPNB CONSULTING LLC, a consulting service that specializes in comprehensive Nerve Block Program development and training for physicians in Ultrasound-Guided Continuous Peripheral Nerve Blocks.

Research Interest

His research interest includes: Optimizing Acute Pain Management and patient recovery through comprehensive multimodal analgesia protocols with a strong emphasis on ultrasound-guided continuous peripheral nerve blocks. This interest includes developing new techniques, processes and applications related to ultrasound and continuous nerve blocks as well as opportunities to demonstrate the economic impact of these interventions.
