Senior level cell biologist with immunology and physiology experience in rodent animal models of ocular inflammation and neuronal degeneration. Experienced with histological and pathological analysis of murine lymphoid and ocular tissues. Highly experienced with fluorescent imaging and microscopy techniques. Proficient with dissection of delicate tissues (retina, lymph nodes) and survival surgeries/experimental injury models (intravitreal eye injections, optic nerve crush, fluorogold brain injections, and immunization) in mice.

• Confocal and light microscopy, time-lapse microscopy, Fundus Imaging
• Cryopreservation of tissues, cryosectioning and vibratome sectioning
• Cell culture of primary cells (human and mouse) under sterile conditions
• Molecular biology techniques (extraction of RNA, DNA, protein, PCR, gene arrays, Nanostring, transfections)
• T cell/lymphocyte separation and sorting
• Bone marrow transplantation/generating chimeric mice
