Openventio is a premier open access themed publishing organization allowing free distribution and access to published articles. As the name “Openventio” suggests, we believe that Open Access to scientific inventions and concepts is the ideal approach to propagate knowledge worldwide. Comprising of 40 peer-reviewed medical journals, our organization aims to establish an international body of scientific scholars from academia as well as various fields of research practice.
We are a team committed to presenting innovative research work to nurture curious minds, concomitantly establishing a path breaking platform for the expression of new ideas and to motivate scientific writers. Belonging to the family of international publications, Openventio believes in following strict publication ethics and with the support of a global team of editors and subject experts ensures that every prospective article clears a rigorous peer-review process.
OPEN ACCESS
Open Access (OA) means accessing original peer-reviewed articles without any restrictions. The concept of Open Access (OA) was initiated by “Open Society Institute” to promote Open Access (OA) at a conference in Budapest, Hungary on December 1st-2nd, 2001 which was referred to as “Budapest Open Access Initiative [BOAI]”.
BOAI on its 10th Anniversary in 2012 has presented the following recommendations for the next ten years with respect to the aforementioned parameters:
- On policy
- On licensing and reuse
- On infrastructure and sustainability
- On advocacy and coordination
The Open Access (OA) theme was also discussed in a one-day meeting with a group of 24 people, popularly known as “Bethesda Statement on Open Access Publishing” [2] which was held on 11th April 2003 at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute in Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA. This group coined a new definition for Open Access (OA) i.e., “The author(s) and copyright holder(s) grant(s) to all users free, irrevocable, worldwide, perpetual right of access to, and a license to copy, use, distribute, transmit, and display the work publicly and to make and distribute derivative works, in any digital medium for any responsible purpose, subject to proper attribution of authorship” and from which every article is “deposited immediately upon initial Publications in at least one online repository”.
A separate Conference held in October 2003 known as “Berlin Declaration on Open Access to Knowledge in the Sciences and Humanities” which was hosted by Max Planck Society in Berlin, Germany discussed the Open Access Movement. There are more than 240 scientific organizations that have signed the declaration in the present day.
Complementing the efforts and initiatives of different scientific organizations, societies, and institutions, the concept of Open Access (OA) has now established its own identity in the scientific world.
Openventio Publishers has strictly followed the principles of OA from the time of its inception thereby type providing complete support to all previously held initiatives towards the OA concept, thus publishing all its articles in Journals that were freely accessible.

The Gold OA model is one in which the final versions of the article are freely available to readers without requiring a subscription, but the authors must pay the article processing charges (APC), also known as the “author-pays” model.1
