Review procedure
The review procedure for the Journal of Pancreas – Open Journal follows a comprehensive and structured approach designed to ensure the quality and integrity of the research published. Authors begin by submitting their manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system. Upon submission, the editorial team conducts an initial screening to verify that the manuscript complies with the journal’s scope, formatting guidelines, and ethical standards. This step also includes a plagiarism check to prevent any unethical publication practices. If the manuscript meets these initial requirements, it moves on to the peer review process.
For the peer review stage, the manuscript is sent to at least two independent experts in the field of pancreatic research or related medical sciences. These reviewers assess the scientific merit of the study, including its originality, methodology, clarity, and overall contribution to the existing body of knowledge. Reviewers also provide constructive feedback, identifying areas for improvement or further clarification. Authors are then required to revise their manuscript in response to the feedback provided by the reviewers. They must submit a detailed response to the reviewers, outlining how they have addressed the comments and suggestions.
After the revised manuscript is submitted, the editor-in-chief, along with the peer reviewers, evaluates whether the revisions have adequately addressed the concerns raised. If the manuscript meets the journal’s standards, it is accepted for publication. If further revisions are needed, the process is repeated until the manuscript is deemed suitable for publication. Upon acceptance, the article undergoes a final round of copyediting and formatting before being published online. As an open-access journal, the Journal of Pancreas – Open Journal ensures that all published articles are freely available to readers worldwide, contributing to the global dissemination of pancreatic research.
