Reviewer Policies
Conflict of Interest and Financial Disclosures (specific to reviewers)
Cancer Studies and Molecular Medicine – Open Journal requires all reviewers to disclose any potential conflicts of interest (COI) prior to accepting a manuscript for review. A COI may arise if the reviewer has a financial, professional, or personal relationship with the author(s) or any related institutions that could influence their impartiality. Reviewers must complete a COI disclosure form and recuse themselves from reviewing manuscripts where they have a direct or indirect conflict, such as shared research funding, institutional affiliations, or personal relationships with the authors. Additionally, any financial interest in the research outcomes (such as investment in a related company or stock ownership) should be disclosed. The journal aims to ensure that the review process remains unbiased and fair, with decisions based solely on the quality and scientific merit of the work. If a COI is disclosed, the editorial team may choose to assign the manuscript to another reviewer. In cases where a COI arises during the review process, reviewers are expected to notify the editorial team immediately. The integrity of the review process is paramount, and Cancer Studies and Molecular Medicine – Open Journal takes every step to ensure impartial evaluations through transparent COI management.
