Biography

I am an academic Intensivist who is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Diseases, and Critical Care Medicine with my entire professional career directing the perioperative care of the cardiovascular and thoracic surgical patient. I am Associate Professor of Medicine and Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery with an interest in the care of the most complex and critically ill patients. In my current role as Director of Critical Care Services for The Sandra Atlas Bass Heart Hospital, I have a dual role in overseeing the complex care of both the medical and surgical cardiovascular patient. My other roles include being chairperson for the following committees in my hospital: Quality Committee, Critical Care Committee, Cardiac Arrest-Rapid Response Committee, Organ Donation Committee, and Medical Director of Respiratory Therapy Services.
