Biography

Dr. Dongsheng Xu is board certified in anatomic pathology and clinical pathology as well as hematology by the American Board of Pathology. He received his MD. degree from the First Military Medical University in Guangzhou, China. Subsequently, he completed his medical training in medicine and hematology at the Third Military Medical University in Chongqing, China. Dr. Xu received his PhD. degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska where he also completed a research fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology. He completed his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at Jackson Memorial Medical Center/ University of Miami School of Medicine in Miami, Florida. Dr. Xu then completed a residency in clinical pathology and a fellowship in hematopathology at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York.
Dr. Xu was the Medical Director of Clinical Hematology and Flow Cytometry Laboratory, and Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Boston University Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Currently, he is Medical Director of Hematopathology and Flow Cytometry Laboratory at CBLPath, Inc. at Rye Brook, New York. Dr. Xu is the recipient of numerous awards and is a sought-after lecturer in the area of hematopathology, having presented at many national and international conferences

Research Interest

His research interest includes: Clinical Application of Cell Population Data, Leukemia/Lymphoma Immunophenotyping by flow Cytometry and Molecular Diagnosis Of Hematolymphoid Neoplasm.
