Biography

Dr. Qamar is a fellow at the cardiovascular division, at Brigham and Womens Hospital of the Harvard Medical School in Boston, USA. He completed his internal medicine residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia where he was awarded the Maurice F. Attie senior and junior resident teaching award for excellence in medical education and the Frederick F. Samaha award for excellence in cardiovascular research.

Research Interest

His research interests include: Identifying novel circulating biomarkers of atherosclerosis and acute coronary syndromes. He was investigating the role of these biomarkers in early detection, prognostication and development of novel therapeutics in patients with atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease.
