Biography

Dr. Saligram graduated from Sri Devaraj Urs Medical School in India in 2003. Thereafter, he moved to England and completed his residency in Internal Medicine from Royal Liverpool University Hospital. During his sub-specialization training in Gastroenterology from Poole Hospital of Wessex Deanery, he received his membership from the prestigious Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in March, 2009.
On receiving his MRCP in England, Dr. Saligram moved to USA in July, 2009 and underwent training in Internal Medicine from University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He started his Sub-specialization in Gastroenterology from Kansas University Medical Center and has decided to pursue a career in Interventional Gastroenterology in Moffitt Cancer Center.
During his training, he developed an interest in academic medicine. He has presented in various international conferences like Digestive Disease Week and American College of Gastroenterology. He has several published articles in high impact journals including New England Journal of Medicine.
The published articles are of different kinds which range from original articles, review articles, newspaper articles and book chapters.

Research Interest

His research interest include: Pathogenesis of Barretts esophagus, Endoscopic therapy of Barretts esophagus like Endoscopic Mucosal Resection, Radio Frequency Ablation and also advanced imaging studies like Narrow band imaging of the gastrointestinal tract evaluating Barretts esophagus and colon polyps.
