• Dr. Cohen was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1968. He graduated cum laude from Brooklyn College, receiving his undergraduate degree in accounting. Realizing his passion was not in numbers, he attended and graduated from the Albany Medical College
• After completing two years of Internal Medicine training at Staten Island University Hospital, he was accepted and completed his ophthalmology residency at The Nassau County Medical Center in East Meadow, New York, which he followed with fellowship in oculoplastic and orbital surgery and neuro-ophthalmology under the tutelage of Dr. David Weinberg
• After working for a short time in New Mexico, Dr. Cohen then completed a prestigious craniofacial aesthetic and reconstructive surgery fellowship, directed by world renowned plastic surgeon, Dr. Ian T. Jackson. He is one of the few oculoplastic surgeons to complete a craniofacial fellowship and receive this level of rigorous and extensive training
• Dr. Cohen is in private practice where he specializes in of oculoplastic and facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and cosmetic laser surgery. He still devotes a small amount of his practice time to neuro-ophthalmology. As an active staff member at Rush University Medical Center, Dr. Cohen treats and operates on patients and teaches residents
• He published a textbook on lacrimal disorders and surgery and has just completed a comprehensive textbook on blepharoptosis with his former advisor, Dr. Weinberg. He has published numerous times both in traditional and electronic publications. In addition, he has lectured and taught his colleagues on a national and international level.Dr. Cohen is a fellow of The American Society of Oculoplastic and ReconstructiveSurgery, The American Academy of Ophthalmology, and American College of Surgeons. Currently he is the only ophthalmologist ever to be elected to be a member of the Young Fellows Association within the American College of Surgeons

Dr. Ahmad completed his MS in Ophthalmology in 1997. Subsequently, he went to Aravind Eye Hospital in India and obtained a Fellowship in General Ophthalmology. He started his clinical practice at King Fahad Specialist Hospital (KFSH), Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In 2006 he joined Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia. During his stay at KFSH he worked as ad hoc Reader at Qassim University. Similarly, in Malaysia he was appointed ad hoc Lecturer at University Malaysia Sabah. Dr. Ahmad has published around 30 peer-reviewed articles. Presently, he is also involved in some International studies. He has been awarded by the Madhya Pradesh Ophthalmic Society (India) and Ministry of Health, Malaysia.
To further his research interest, Dr. Ahmad cleared the Good Clinical Practice (GCP) examination conducted by Clinical Research Malaysia. He also obtained the C-SSRS (Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale) certificate which is useful for initiating any new clinical study. He sits on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Acute Disease. He is also a regular reviewer for many International journals such as British Journal of Ophthalmology, International Journal of Ophthalmology and many others.

Dr. Ribelayga, received his degree in Neuroscience from the University Louis Pasteur (France) in 2000 and followed with postdoctoral training at The University of Alabama at Birmingham (USA). He was a faculty member in the Department of Neuroscience at The Ohio State University in Columbus (USA) from 2005 to 2009 and moved to his current position in the Ruiz Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science at The University of Texas in Houston (USA) in 2009. He has also joined the faculty at the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences in Houston in 2009. Dr. Ribelaygas laboratory studies the function of circadian clocks in the retina, and in particular the role of circadian clocks as adaptive processes to the predictable changes in ambient light intensity. Dr. Ribelayga was an early proponent of studying circadian clocks in the retina, as retinal clocks represent an important physiological mechanism regulating day and night vision. His more recent work has focused on the circadian clock regulation of photoreceptor electrical coupling and its role in the activity of the rod and cone pathways.

Dr. Wong is a Stem Cell Biologist specialising in human pluripotent stem cells, reprogramming and retinal differentiation and ophthalmology. He completed his PhD with Professor Martin Pera (Monash University) in 2007, followed by overseas training in Professor Peter Donovans laboratory (University of California Irvine, USA), Professor Minoru Kos laboratory (National Institutes of Health, USA) and Elixirgen LLC (USA). His research in the past 12 years has led to improvement in methods for growing human pluripotent stem cells and generation of human induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells. In 2013, he joined the Centre for Eye Research Australia as a group leader of the Cellular Reprogramming Group. He also holds a research position in the Department of Ophthalmology at University of Melbourne. His current research focuses on using human iPS cells for disease modelling and harnessing their medical potential for eye research.

Dr. Carricondo graduated in Medicine in 2000, at Federal University of São Paulo. He has completed his Medical Residency in Ophthalmology and then served as Chief Resident at Hospital das Clínicas, University of São Paulo. After concluding his training in Retina and Vitreous Diseases at Hospital das Clínicas, University of São Paulo, he completed his PhD at University of São Paulo School of Medicine, studying resident cataract surgery training. Currently, he is Director of Eye Emergency Department at Hospital das Clinicas, University of São Paulo and Faculty of Cataract and Retina Departments at the same Hospital. Also, he is elected in Brazilian Trauma Ocular Society as President for the next 2 years (2015-2017).

Dr. Michael Singer is the managing partner of Medical Center Ophthalmology Associates, one of the largest, private eye care practices in South Texas. Dr. Singer also serves as the Director of Clinical Trials. Dr. Singer has continued to serve as Chairman of Ophthalmology at Methodist Ambulatory Surgical Hospital since 1999 and serves as a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas.
