Dr. Famili is Full Professor in the Department of Periodontics and Preventive Dentistry and Chair of the Department since 2005, with a secondary appointment as Full Professor in the University of Pittsburghs Clinical and Translational Science Institute. She graduated from the Periodontics Residency Program and received her Masters degree in Dental Science from the University of Pittsburgh, followed by the DMD, and then earned her MPH (2000) and the PhD in the field of Epidemiology in 2005. She has been a member of the Periodontics Faculty since 1986 and has served the University and the Profession with Distinction, becoming a Diplomate in both Periodontics and Implantology, and a fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the American College of Dentists, and the International College of Dentists, among many others. She is active in both the local and national chapters of the Dental Honorary OKU, and in 2005 was a finalist for the Chancellors Distinguished Teaching Award. In addition to several publications on both topics, she has received financial grant support to study the relationship between dental implant placement and osteoporosis from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and from NobelBiocare. She is a member of both the American Academy for Dental Research and the International Academy for Dental Research and has presented her research nationally and internationally. Dr. Famili has taken great pleasure in working to actively mentor the careers of periodontics residents and dental students throughout her own career at the University of Pittsburgh, and has produced many publications, presentations, and service learning opportunities, presented to peer-reviewed national and international dental and implantology meetings. She regularly peer-reviews research funding proposals for the National Institutes of Health, curriculum tools for the Med Ed Portal knowledge website (sponsored jointly by the Association of American Medical Colleges and ADEA), and scholarly articles for many different journals in the dental press. She is very active in academic dentistry, participating in the American Dental Education Associations Womens Affairs and Minority Affairs Committees, often presenting symposium topics regarding implantology, mentoring, or the first professional education of young dentists. Dr. Famili practices periodontics exclusively in the University of Pittsburgh faculty practice.

Dr. Ahmed El-Angbawi is a Clinical Lecturer in Orthodontics in the University of Glasgow, United Kingdom. Dr. El-Angbawi graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry, Alexandria University (Egypt) in 1999. He studied Orthodontics in Alexandria University, where he graduated with a Master Degree in Orthodontics. Dr. El-Angbawithen moved to the University of Glasgow, where he was appointed as a clinical lecturer in Orthodontics in 2009. He was awarded his PhD in Orthodontics from the University of Dundee in 2013, and upon completion of his CCST in Orthodontics in the University of Glasgow he was awarded MOrth from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh.

Dr. El-Angbawi has a special interest in research related to effective orthodontic treatment and 3D prediction planning for orthognathic treatment. He published several articles in international journals and presented his research outcome in several national and international scientific meetings and conferences. Dr. Shi is a chairman and professor of Oral Biology at UCLA Schools of Dentistry. His laboratory has been using multidisciplinary approaches to study oral microbial pathogenesis with a specific focus on microbial biofilm, inter-species interaction and signal transduction. In addition, his laboratory is actively involved in the development of next generation of diagnostic and therapeutic tools against oral microbial infections, including instant chairside detection of oral pathogens and peptide based targeted antimicrobial therapeutics. These translational research efforts have resulted in novel technologies that are licensed and developed by major pharmaceutical, dental and biotech companies. Dr. Shi is also the founding scientist, chief science officer, and chairman of the scientific advisory board of C3 Jian Inc.
Dr. Shi obtained his BS degree from Fudan University (Shanghai) in 1984, acquired his Ph.D degree from University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1991 and fulfilled his postdoctoral training at University of California-Berkeley during 1992-1995. He is co-author and co-inventor of over 200 scientific articles and patents.

Dr. Khouly is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and clinical research coordinator and investigator at the Bluestone Center for Clinical Research at New York College of Dentistry (NYUCD). He received his DDS from Spain from the University of Granada, College of Dentistry, and he also spent some time studying at the dental institutes of the University of Oslo, Norway and Queen Marys University of London in the United Kingdom. After receiving the DDS, he obtained a Masters Degree in Tissue Engineering from the School of Medicine at the University of Granada. Then he relocated his career path to the United States and completed a three-year advanced program in implant and comprehensive dentistry at NYUCD. In addition to that, he received his Ph.D. in Biomedicine (sinus augmentation using growth factors and collagen membranes) and International Doctorate Certification from University of Granada School of Medicine in Granada and NYUCD in 2013. He has several years of research experience and he has been involved in several randomized clinical trials, systematic reviews, and case reports, mainly in periodontics, implant dentistry and oral cancer. Dr. Robinson is a Clinical Associate Professor and currently the Interim Dean University of Florida College of Dentistry. He is a graduate of the University of the Pacific, School of Dentistry. He comes to the University of Florida after serving 26 years in the United States Navy. During his active duty time in the Navy he received a certificate in Comprehensive Dentistry from the Naval Postgraduate Dental School.
His Navy career afforded him many opportunities. He had the distinct honor to be the dentist to the President of the United States. He served for both President Reagan and Bush (senior). He also had several leadership roles as Director of the Naval Postgraduate Dental School and as Commanding Officer of the Naval Dental Center Northeast. He spent time at sea aboard the aircraft carrier, USS Carl Vinson and with the Marines at Camp Pendleton, California.
Dr. Robinson is a Diplomate and past President of the Federal Services Board of General Dentistry, and a Diplomate to the American College of General Dentistry. He is a fellow of the International College of Dentists, American College of Dentists, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He is currently on the editorial board for the Journal of Operative Dentistry.

Dr. Graskemper currently practices full-time in Bellport, New York. He graduated from Xavier University, attended Case Western Reserve Graduate School, obtained his dental degree from Ohio State University in 1977 and his law degree from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California in 1987. After dental school, where he was awarded a Navy Dental Scholarship, he was stationed at Camp Pendleton with the 1st Fleet Marine Division as a Lieutenant, U.S. Navy Dental Officer. He has been awarded Fellowships from the Academy of General Dentistry, American Endodontic Society, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, American Society of Osseointegration, and The American College of Legal Medicine. Recently, Dr Graskemper became a Diplomat in the American Board of Medical Malpractice.
Besides practicing dentistry full-time, he also is an Associate Clinical Professor in the 4th year General Practice Program at Stonybrook School of Dental Medicine, and teaches the Professionalism and Ethics in Dentistry course for residents and Dental Law at the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year dental students. He was the past Director of Professional Responsibility courses and past Editor-in-Chief of the Stonybrook School of Dental Medicine GPR Literature Review Journal. Currently, he is the faculty advisor to the Student Professionalism and Ethics Association Club at Stonybrook. He belongs to many professional organizations and has served as a consultant to several state dental boards. He is a Board member of the International Dental Ethics and Law Society and the American Board of Medical Malpractice. Dr. Graskemper has authored many peer-reviewed articles, has lectured and published nationally and internationally. He recently published a book, “Professional Responsibility in Dentistry: A Guide to Law and Ethics”.
Prior to moving to Long Island to be closer to family, Dr. Graskemper was the previous sole owner of a fee-for-service multi-specialty group practice in La Jolla, California, having an Endodontist, Periodontist, Oral Surgeon, Prosthodontist, Orthodontist, Implantologist, and a General Dentist. He also was the President of Dentcom Advertising. While in California, he was also the owner of Sorrento Valley Ceramic Arts, a full service dental lab, and Chief of the Scripps Memorial Hospital Dental Staff.
He is very active in his community by being a Past President of the Patchogue Kiwanis Club, Past Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Maryhaven Center of Hope, a large Long Island wide agency serving the severely mentally and physically handicapped individuals of all ages. He currently is active in the Patchogue and the Bellport Chambers of Commerce; and, a past Chamber Member of the Year in Bellport. Recently, he was elected to the Board of Directors of the Suffolk County Dental Society.

Initially, he served as a general practitioner for six years in Shahapur, a remote place in Karnataka.
